Let's Have Another Party

"Let's Have Another Party" was a 1954 ragtime composition, which became a number one hit in the UK Singles Chart for the pianist Winifred Atwell. It is a composite of several pieces of music, and was a follow up to Atwell's successful hit "Let's Have a Party" of the previous year.

The music was written by Nat D. Ayer, Clifford Grey, James W. Tate, Ray Henderson, Mort Dixon and others. It was produced by Johnny Franz and first entered the UK chart on 26 November 1954 for an eight week run, spending five of those weeks at number one.^[1] The medley included parts of the following tunes:^[1]

• "Bye Bye Blackbird"
• "Honeysuckle and the Bee"
• "I Wonder Where My Baby is Tonight"

• "When the Red, Red Robin (Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin' Along)"

Atwell was the first black person to have a number one hit in Britain, and still the only female instrumentalist to do so.^[1] Her hit, the third instrumental disc at number one, was the first piano instrumental to reach the top.^[1]

Uses in popular Culture

• The song was used in an episode of The Sopranos.
• The song was featured in the WarioWare, Inc. episode "The Treecko Stops Here"; the Treeckos listen to this song while waiting for a Grovyle to come back. 18-Volt and 9-Volt can be heard singing along the radio at their SUV.
• The song can also be heard at the Pokémon Center in Diamond City.
